Marital Life
In 1988, Deas married actress Margaret Colin, who had played his on-screen wife in the soap opera "As the World Turns." The couple has two sons.
Acting Career
Daytime Soap OperasDeas rose to prominence through his work in daytime soap operas. His first notable role was as Bucky in "Ryan's Hope." He went on to portray Tom Hughes in "As the World Turns," becoming the tenth actor to play the character. He also played Keith Timmons in "Santa Barbara" and Buzz Cooper in "Guiding Light."
Awards and Recognition
Deas has won an impressive six Daytime Emmy Awards in acting categories. He received one for his performance in "As the World Turns," two for "Santa Barbara," and three for "Guiding Light." He held the record for the most Emmy wins in this category until 2012 when Anthony Geary received his seventh award.
