Biography of Justin Gomersall
Justin Gomersall, a 34-year-old British sales manager and father of two, lost over 40 kilograms in one year. He had such a serious excess weight problem that he couldn't sleep in the same bed as his wife. To change this situation, he managed to lose over 40 kilograms in just one year. In January 2014, Justin reached his highest weight of 127 kilograms. Several years of eating unhealthy takeout food and a complete lack of physical activity had led him to this unfortunate state. Doctors warned him that his weight was seriously damaging his health, and Justin himself began to realize this as he couldn't play with his children or go on family outings. His intention to lose weight became stronger when he grew tired of sleeping separately from his wife, 35-year-old Frankie. His wife practically kicked him out of their marital bed after she got fed up with Justin's terrible snoring caused by his obesity. In January 2014, Gomersall joined the weight loss group 'LighterLife'. He says, "Weight problems started in my teenage years. The situation worsened when we had children." "I already had an unhealthy relationship with food. Combined with my work from home and the habit of finishing the kids' uneaten food, my cravings gradually led me to surpass 120 kilograms." "For years, my parents worried about my health. When they passed away, the concern fell on my brother and sister." "Towards the end of 2013, I went shopping to buy a pair of jeans at a department store. I tried to fit into the largest size, but they didn't fit me. I asked the saleswoman if there was a bigger size, and she said no." Gomersall continues, "The problem was that I somewhat turned a blind eye to my condition, and even my wife never fully realized how much weight I had gained." "At that time, I didn't understand how I had ballooned and how my weight was affecting my family life. Any physical activity was torture for me, so I couldn't play with my children the way I wanted to." "I slept separately from my wife for eleven years because of my snoring, and we rarely had family events together." Currently, Justin runs almost five kilometers every day and swims 30 lengths of the pool back and forth five times a week. He is even preparing to participate in a cycling race from "Land's End to John O'Groats" to raise funds for charity. Speaking about his transformation, Justin adds, "Soon I reached a weight below my target. A middle-aged man, weighing 127 kilograms, at risk of a heart attack, turned into an 85-kilogram new husband for my wife of twelve years and a new father for our two children." "Life has become so much better," Gomersall states. "My terrible snoring has stopped. After eleven years, my wife and I share the same bed again. Our whole family is on cloud nine. Our family life is now better than ever." "Now I can run and play with my children, even tire them out before they tire me out." "On July 3, 2015, my team 'Team Numbnuts', consisting of eleven middle-aged men, will put on lycra and embark on a cycling journey from Land's End to John O'Groats to raise money for four amazing charities..." "Our goal is to surpass the threshold of 100,000 pounds."
