Karen Kopins is an American actress who was born in Connecticut. She won the "Miss Connecticut" beauty pageant in 1977, and later attended Marymount College before starting her career as an actress.

Karen Kopins is best known for her role as Kay Lloyd in the eleventh season of the TV series "Dallas". She also appeared on the big screen alongside Jim Carrey in the 1985 film "Once Bitten". Additionally, she has appeared in several other films and TV shows.

In 1990, Karen Kopins married her high school sweetheart Mark Shaw, and they later had four children together. They currently reside in Redding, Connecticut.
