Early Life

Karen, whose birth name was Karine Bach, was born in 1973 in Lyon, France. She came from a relatively affluent family, with a French father and a mother of Moroccan descent. She spent her childhood in the rural outskirts of Lyon.

In later interviews, Karen revealed that she had her first sexual experience at the age of 17, shortly before starting university. While studying, she worked in a nightclub on weekends to pay for her education. It was at this nightclub that she met DJ Franck Ceronne, whom she soon married.

Career in the Adult Film Industry

Interestingly, it was with her husband Franck that Karen began her career in the porn industry. Initially, they acted together in films, using the money they earned to pay off debts and support their family. After their divorce, Franck quit filming, but Karen continued to work in the adult film industry, appearing in both European and American productions. She worked with production companies such as "Elegant Angel," "Wicked Pictures," and "Sin City."

Karen's American debut came in the 1997 film "When the Night Falls." During this period, she frequently traveled between Europe and the United States for filming. In 2000, Karen was nominated for the "Hot D'Or" award, although she did not win.

Alongside her colleague and friend Raffaëla Anderson, Karen successfully auditioned for the film. The controversial and explicit nature of "Baise-moi" caused a stir upon its release, but it also propelled Karen to become a true porn star.

Interestingly, Karen and Raffaëla had different reactions to the sudden fame. Raffaëla decided to quickly transition her career from pornography to mainstream cinema, while Karen gradually slowed down her adult film work and eventually stopped altogether in 2002.

Personal Life and Tragic End
