Early Life and Childhood
Kelly Preston was born in Honolulu, Hawaii. Her father worked in agriculture, while her mother was involved in mental health services. Tragically, Kelly's father passed away when she was just three years old. Her mother later remarried a man named Peter Palzis, whose surname appeared in the credits of Kelly's early films.
The family lived in Iraq for a time before relocating to Australia. In Adelaide, Preston attended Pembroke School. She eventually returned to the United States to pursue acting.
Modeling Career
Kelly's modeling career began in an Australian agency. Her graceful physique, with her height of 5'6" and weight of 123 lbs, caught the attention of a photographer. Through this connection, she landed a job as a model for an advertising firm.
Acting Debut
