Ken Ahroni: The Entrepreneur Behind Lucky Break Wishbone Corp
Ken Ahroni, an American entrepreneur, is the founder of the organization 'Lucky Break Wishbone Corp'. His journey as a businessman started after college when he joined his family business of producing Christmas garlands. Later, Ken established 'World Masters Inc.', a consulting firm that revolutionized the production of garlands by introducing strands with two hundred bulbs instead of the usual fifty. He dedicated twenty years to this business before seeking a change.

A New Idea is Born
In 1999, on Thanksgiving Day, Ken had an epiphany about something missing in the country - wishbones. Ken Ahroni recognized the cultural significance of wishbone traditions and realized that there was a market for artificial wishbones. Unlike traditional wishbones that break easily, Ken understood that his product had to break in order to fulfill its purpose. He personally broke hundreds of plastic wishbones sold by his organization to ensure their quality.
The Tradiiton of Wishbone Wishes
In the United States, it is a common tradition to have a juicy turkey on Thanksgiving Day. Along with the delicious meat, there is another form of entertainment - breaking the wishbone. It is a widely known belief that if two people each make a wish and pull on either end of the wishbone, the person with the larger piece will have their wish granted. However, turkey is not a daily meal for everyone, and many people choose not to consume poultry for ethical reasons. Yet, everyone has wishes, and even vegetarians would not mind a little intervention in their destiny.
Meet Ken Ahroni, the Solution Provider
This is where Ken Ahroni and his company come to the rescue, selling artificial wishbones. Ken always paid attention to festive rituals. After college, he joined his family's business of manufacturing Christmas garlands. Later, he founded 'World Masters Inc.', a consulting firm that played a crucial role in mass-producing garlands with two hundred bulbs per strand instead of the usual fifty. After twenty years in the garland business, Ken wanted a change.
The Journey to Perfecting the Wishbone
Ken spent a long time experimenting with different types of plastic, ensuring that even if his product only had one function - to break - it had to break properly. He utilized three-dimensional modeling to find the perfect sound that matched the sound of a real wishbone breaking. After five years and seventy-five thousand dollars, Ken finally had a mold for casting the perfect wishbone. He closed down 'World Masters' and embarked on a new business venture.
Success and Growth
To skeptics who might think it's a pointless and unproductive way to spend money and time, there's a sad news - within the first six months of trading, Ken sold fifty thousand dollars worth of wishbones. By 2005, the production reached thirty thousand wishbones per day, and the turnover was rapidly approaching the coveted one million dollar mark.
