Prime Minister of Bhutan

First Term (2001-2002)

Khandu Wangchuk served as Prime Minister of Bhutan from August 8, 2001, to August 14, 2002.

Second Term (2006-2007)

Following the 2006 elections, Wangchuk was reappointed as Prime Minister on September 7, 2006. He resigned from the position on July 31, 2007, to participate in the 2008 elections as a member of the Peace and Prosperity Party.

Minister of Foreign Affairs (2003-2007)

During his second term as Prime Minister, Wangchuk concurrently served as Minister of Foreign Affairs from 2003 to 2007.

Minister of Finance (2008)

After the Peace and Prosperity Party's victory in the 2008 elections, Wangchuk was appointed Minister of Finance on April 11, 2008.
