Kimberly Marie "Kim" Zolciak-Biermann is an American television personality and singer. She gained fame as one of the original cast members of "The Real Housewives of Atlanta." Kim was born in Pensacola, Florida, to a military family and spent her childhood in Windsor Locks, Connecticut.

At the age of 17, Kim had an affair with a 49-year-old local police officer whom she met while being questioned as a witness. This relationship resulted in the officer being suspended from duty for 45 days and retiring two years later. In 1996, Kim graduated from high school and later attended nursing assistant courses at the University of Connecticut.

At the age of 26, Kim moved to Johns Creek, a suburb of Atlanta, Georgia, with her parents. She made her debut on the American reality show "The Real Housewives of Atlanta" on October 7, 2008. Around the same time, Kim started pursuing a career in country music and began working on her first album.

In 2009, Kim released her debut single, "Tardy for the Party," followed by an EP remix of the song the following year. Between the fourth and fifth seasons of the show, Kim and her fiancé became the main characters of a spin-off called "Don't Be Tardy for the Wedding," which documented their wedding preparations.

Kim left "The Real Housewives" during the fifth season, and her final episode aired on December 9, 2012. She currently has two daughters, Brielle and Ariana. In March 2010, Kim publicly announced her bisexuality and revealed her relationship with Tracy Young.

In May 2010, Kim met football player Kroy Biermann from the Atlanta Falcons at a charity event called "Dancing Stars of Atlanta." They got married on November 11, 2011, and have four children together: Kroy Jagger Biermann Jr., Kash Kade Biermann, and twins Kaia Rose and Kane Ren.

In May 2013, Kim was sued by her fellow "Real Housewives" cast member Kandi Burruss and her songwriter Rodney Richard over the profits from the single "Tardy for the Party." The lawsuit alleged that Kim released and profited from the song without obtaining the necessary legal agreements. Kandi also sought a temporary restraining order to stop the sales of the single and destroy all existing copies associated with the alleged infringement.
