As a student at the University of St. Petersburg, Tatunashvili became involved in student protests in 1861. His involvement in these demonstrations demonstrated his passion for social and political issues.

In 1864, while still a student, Tatunashvili published the anthology "Chonguri", a collection of poems by Georgian poets of the 1860s. This publication showcased his support for the Tergdaleulebi, a literary and social movement within the Georgian intelligentsia.

Later Life

Throughout his life, Tatunashvili remained an advocate for social and political change. He passed away on 12 May 1919, in the city of Kutaisi, leaving a legacy as a dedicated Georgian patriot and a tireless champion for his people's rights.
