Early Life and Education
Joachim Kobjoell was born in 1948 in Bamberg, Germany. He pursued his education in the hospitality industry, graduating from D.Speiser Hotelfachschule in Tegernsee and Lyc?e Technique H?telier in Strasbourg.
Early Business Ventures
At the age of 22, Kobjoell launched his first business in 1970, a restaurant called "Cr?perie Rennaise" in Erlangen. Throughout the 1970s and 1980s, he expanded his portfolio with several other restaurants, including "Caf? des Arts," "Strohalm," and "Prison St. Michel."
The Creation of Hotel Landhotel Schindlerhof
In 1978, Kobjoell opened his first hotel, Landhotel M?rsbergei, with 19 rooms and an 80-seat restaurant. His most notable venture came in 1984 with the establishment of Landhotel Schindlerhof, his twelfth business project.
Expansion and Recognition
In the late 1980s, Kobjoell expanded and renovated Schindlerhof, transforming it into an international conference hotel known as "Schindlerhof Creative Centre." Over the past 20 years, the hotel has received prestigious awards, including the European Quality Award in 1998 and recognition as one of Europe's "100 Best Workplaces" in 2007.
Industry Leadership
Kobjoell is a symbol of successful German entrepreneurship. He co-founded and is the honorary chairman of the "Landidyll" association, which comprises several hotels and restaurants in Germany, Austria, and France. Kobjoell is also a member of the Swiss Hotel Association and the German Hotel and Restaurant Association.
Education and Training
Kobjoell teaches marketing at the Swiss Hotel Association's hotel school. He regularly conducts business seminars and training programs on hotel and restaurant management in various countries, including Russia and Ukraine.
