"This is what breast cancer looks like," Armstrong captioned her photo. "I could not feel the lump nor could my GP. However, the doctor was concerned when I told her my breast was not feeling like its usual self. I described it as having 'dimple-like' pits at the bottom of my breast when I raised my arm."
Armstrong's doctor ordered a mammogram, which proved inconclusive, prompting an ultrasound examination. "The ultrasound found the cancer deep in my breast, almost next to my muscle," she wrote. "These three 'dimple-like' pits turned my and my family's world upside down."

Armstrong described the diagnosis as a shock that sent her family through a whirlwind of emotions. "Numb. Excited. Calm. Pretending. Absorbing. Testing. Crying. Normal," she wrote. "Angry. Sad. More questions than answers. Trying to hold it together."

Amidst the outpouring of support from her community, Armstrong felt compelled to share her "lifesaving knowledge" about these lesser-known breast cancer symptoms. "I am sharing this because I hope I can help someone become aware that breast cancer is not always felt," she explained. "Please, please, if you notice any change to your breast, even the smallest change, go to your GP. It could save your life."
