Lasse Norman Hansen

Lasse Norman Hansen is a Danish professional road and track cyclist who currently rides for the UCI WorldTeam Team Qhubeka NextHash. He achieved great success in track cycling, winning a gold medal in the men's omnium at the 2012 Summer Olympics in London.

Early Career

Hansen was born in Fåborg, Denmark, on February 11, 1992. He began his professional cycling career in 2014 after two seasons with the Danish team Blue Water Cycling.

Team Garmin – Sharp

Hansen signed a two-year contract with the UCI WorldTeam Garmin – Sharp for the 2014 and 2015 seasons. During his time with Garmin, he competed primarily in road races, including the Tour de France and the Vuelta a España.

Vuelta a España and Other Races

Hansen was named to the start list for the 2017 Vuelta a España. He also competed in other major races, such as the Tour of Flanders and the Paris–Roubaix.

Team Corendon-Circus

After the Aqua Blue Sport team disbanded in September 2018, Hansen joined Team Corendon-Circus on a two-year contract. This move was motivated by the team's willingness to grant him flexibility to compete on the track at the 2020 Summer Olympics in Tokyo.

Team Qhubeka Assos

In December 2020, Hansen signed a one-year contract with Team Qhubeka Assos for the 2021 season. He continued to race both on the road and the track, balancing his commitments between the two disciplines.

Personal Life

Lasse Norman Hansen is the brother of racing cyclist Louise Norman Hansen. He currently resides in Girona, Catalonia, Spain.
