Born on July 22, 1985, in Seoul, South Korea, Lee Dong-hwi's early life remains largely private. Determined to pursue acting, he enrolled in the Department of Theater and Film at the Seoul Institute of the Arts, Ansan campus, from 2005 to 2012.
Film Debut and Breakthrough
Lee's acting debut occurred in 2013, appearing in "The Terror Live," "The Night Queen," and "Way Back Home." In 2014's "The Man from Nowhere," he gained recognition for his supporting role. His breakthrough came with the popular drama "Reply 1988" (2015), earning him numerous accolades.
