Леонид Агранович began his career in the performing arts as an actor, performing on the stages of the Moscow Contemporary Theater, the State Theater named after V.E. Meyerhold, and various theaters in Tashkent and Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky between 1933 and 1938.
