Football Prodigy from York
Lewis Cook, hailed from York, joined the Leeds United academy at the tender age of eight. His exceptional talent propelled him to the U-18 side at 15 and the reserve team at 16, where he showcased his attacking prowess.
Ascending Through the Ranks
The 2013/14 season marked a turning point for Cook. After overcoming an injury, he regained his starting role in the youth team and secured a permanent spot in the reserve squad. His nine years of unwavering dedication culminated in a professional contract with Leeds in 2014.
Emergence in the First Team
Cook's impressive performances in Italy during preseason friendlies earned him a spot in the first-team squad. His debut for Leeds came in the League Cup against Accrington Stanley on August 12, 2014. Two weeks later, he made his first Championship start.
Premier League Bound
On July 8, 2016, Cook transferred to Premier League club Bournemouth.International Recognition
Cook's talent extended beyond Yorkshire. From the age of 14, he represented England at various youth levels. In 2014, he triumphed with the England U-17 team at the European Championships, starting three of five matches. He also appeared for the U-18 side and won the FIFA U-20 World Cup in 2017.

In 2014, Cook's grandfather, Trevor Burlingham, placed a £500 bet on Lewis playing for England before his 26th birthday at odds of 33/1. On March 27, 2018, Cook made his senior international debut for England, securing a £17,000 win for his grandfather.
