Lindka Cierach, a renowned fashion designer, was born in 1952 in Lesotho, Africa. Her parents served at the British embassy, and from a young age, Lindka had a passion for sewing clothes. Her parents nurtured her good taste and encouraged her in various pursuits related to her favorite hobby, such as making clothes for her beloved dolls.

In the 1970s, Lindka started working at the fashion magazine "British Vogue" while also enrolling at the London College of Fashion. It was there that she had the opportunity to learn from the famous Japanese designer Yuki, who recognized her potential as a talented designer and wholeheartedly offered her guidance and inspiration.

In 1978, Lindka Cierach established her own bespoke clothing atelier, focusing on clients who prefer classic styles and elegant lines. The costumes and dresses she created gradually gained immense popularity among buyers, attracting well-known and affluent individuals.

In 1986, Lindka Cierach was commissioned to design the wedding dress for the future Duchess of York.
