Biography of Logan Tom
Logan Tom is an American volleyball player and a participant of the 2008 Olympics. She is a talented athlete and has excelled in the sport of volleyball. Early Life and Childhood
Logan Tom was born on May 25, 1981, in Napa, California. Her parents, Christine and Melvin Tom, lived separately. Logan grew up with her mother and brother in Salt Lake City, Utah. During summers, the future volleyball player spent time with her father in Hawaii, where he taught her how to surf.
Early Career and Education
In 2000, Logan became the youngest woman to join the United States national team when she was only 19 years old. She attended Highland High School, where she participated in basketball and track and field. Logan excelled in all sports she played and had to make a tough decision about which sport to focus on for serious training. Eventually, she chose volleyball and dedicated herself to training.
Achievements and Olympic Success
Logan made her Olympic debut in 2000 and finished fourth with the team. In the following years, she achieved many titles and accolades. In 2003, she was named the best receiver at the Pan-American Cup. The next year, Logan represented the United States at the Athens Olympics, where the team finished in fifth place. In that same year, she was named the Valuable Player of the World Grand Prix.

She actively participated in the 2008 Olympics with her national team. Together, they reached the final and won their first Olympic medal.
