Early Life and Musical Roots

Oleg Savchenko, better known by his stage name LSP, was born in July 1989 in Vitebsk, Belarus. His parents, both journalists, encouraged his early interest in music, hiring him a piano tutor. As he grew older, his tastes shifted towards rock music. It was upon hearing Timati's tracks that Savchenko discovered his true calling in rap.

"Lil' Stupid Pig" and the Birth of LSP

At the cusp of adulthood, Savchenko gifted himself with the release of his official mixtape, "Ya vsyo ponyal!" (I Understood Everything!). In this debut, he boldly declared, "Hello everyone, here I am—a very cunning pig." Despite critics initially deeming the album uneven and his vocals weak, the track "A ya chitayu rep" (And I Read Rap) stood out as exceptional. It was around this time that the pseudonym LSP, an abbreviation of "Lil' Stupid Pig," came into being.

Interpreting the Enigma

In subsequent interviews, Savchenko offered varying interpretations of his stage name: "A ray of light stronger than a bullet," "A boy's loving heart," "Lies, passion, and vices." His preferred explanation, however, remained a playful "Ask me later."

Education and Musical Paradox

Despite his unwavering dedication to music, Savchenko managed to obtain a university degree in linguistics from the Minsk State Linguistic University. However, his aspirations lay not in teaching but in pursuing his musical dreams.

Musical Journey

Debut Album and Collaboration

Following his debut album, LSP released the compilation "Here We Come Again." Two years later, he collaborated with hip-hop artists Deech and Maxie Flow on the EP "Bez appelyatsiy" (Without Appeal). Over the years, LSP has worked with various notable figures in the music industry, including Aes Genius, Yung Trappa, Oxxxymiron, Pharaoh, Yanix, and Big Russian Boss.

Solo Career Begins

LSP's solo career officially commenced in 2011 with the album "Videet tsvetnye sny" (Seeing Colored Dreams). He had previously released the tracks from this album online. That same year, he dropped the music video for the single "Khipi" (Hippie).

A Dynamic Duo

In 2012, LSP became a duo when beatmaker Roman Sakhno, also known as Roma Anglichanin, joined the project. Anglichanin's contributions included mixing Oleg's debut solo release and essentially taking on the role of producer within the team. Shortly after joining forces, they released the singles "Nomera" (Numbers) and "Zachem mne etot mir" (Why Do I Need This World?), the latter of which was accompanied by a music video.

Chart-Topping Success

In the following year, the talented duo released the singles "Bolshe deneg" (More Money), "Lilvayn," and "Kokteyl" (Cocktail). All three tracks made it onto the monthly charts of top-performing songs, with "Kokteyl" being hailed as a diamond in the brostep genre and ranking third in the top tracks of 2013.

Critical Acclaim and Storytelling

2014 witnessed the release of two albums: "YOP" and "Viselica" (Gallows). The former featured rapper Galat and blended new and previously released tracks such as "Kanat" (Rope), "Pikachyu," "Siti" (Cities), and "Nomera." Critics praised LSP's clever wordplay and dance music experimentation in "Zachem mne etot mir" (Why Do I Need This World?). The singles "Vingret" (Vinaigrette) and "Poteryan i ne nayden" (Lost and Not Found) later received music video treatments.

Association with Booking Machine

In 2014, LSP came under the wing of Miron Fyodorov, the executive director of Booking Machine and fellow rapper Oxxxymiron. Together, they released the single "Mne skuchno zhit" (I'm Bored with Life), which was voted the best of the year by The Flow website, as was their collaboration with Yung Trappa titled "MLD."

Romantic Colegtion and Personal Favorite

Oleg himself considers "Silovoe pole" (Force Field) from the album "Romantic Colegtion" (released in early 2015) to be one of his finest works. Listeners also took notice of the pop-funk track "SPVL."

Magic City Expansion

Four months later, LSP announced the upcoming release of "Magic City." This album featured collaborations with Oxxxymiron, Pharaoh, Stepan Karma, and Sil-A. Thanks to this project, Roman Sakhno and Oleg Savchenko gained a legion of fans in the Russian rap scene. The songs "Bezumiye" (Madness) and "OK" were accompanied by music videos.

Breaking Barriers and Conflict

In the summer of 2015, LSP made a bold move by severing ties with Booking Machine. They felt that the contractual limitations were hindering their performance opportunities, even during a period of active touring. The split turned acrimonious, with both parties airing their grievances through social media videos.

Collaborations and Tragic Loss

In September 2016, LSP teamed up with Pharaoh on the six-track project "Konditerskaya" (Confectionery). To support this collaboration, they announced a tour called "Cake Factory." LSP also released singles such as "Plevok v vechnost" (Spit into Eternity), "Chudo-UDO" (Miracle-UDO), and a remix of "Bezumiye."

In the spring of 2017, LSP released a follow-up to "Magic City" titled "Tragic City," a 13-track collection. The album's lead single, "Monetka" (Coin), featured a music video with Roman Anglichanin making his only appearance. The video broke viewership records, surpassing 25 million.

Tragedy struck in the summer of 2017 when Sakhno passed away unexpectedly. The cause of death was not publicly disclosed by his family. Oleg dedicated a music video for the song "Telo" (Body) to his departed friend, featuring blogger Dmitry Larin in a striking resemblance to Anglichanin. The video claimed the top spot on MTV's Russian chart.

Personal Life

Oleg keeps his personal life private, stating that he has no issues with the opposite sex. It is known that he is unmarried.

LSP in the Present

After Roman's death, Oleg announced his intention to continue with his solo project and honor the scheduled performance dates. In a social media post, he expressed his gratitude to the entire team behind the scenes and emphasized that Roman himself would not have allowed their work to stop and leave their fans without music.

In September 2017, LSP embarked on a tour in support of "Tragic City," performing 38 concerts across five countries. Accompanying Savchenko on tour were Den Hawk of Piggy Bang, who previously appeared in the "Vingret" music video, and Pyotr Klyuyev, a Belarusian musician who contributed to an acoustic version of "Monetka."

LSP has incorporated acoustic numbers into their live sets, including "Belyy tanets" (White Dance). Critics have noted the influence of the early days of "Lyapis Trubetskoy" in the song's lyrics.

In November, the results of the Jagermeister Music Awards 2017 were announced, with LSP being named Group of the Year. Oleg capped off 2017 with the release of "Malenkiy prints" (The Little Prince), accompanied by an animated music video, and a new version of the Moscow punk band "Pasosh"'s song "Vechirinka" (Party). A Hell And Back Tour is planned for 2018.
