Biography of Luca Pisaroni
Luca Pisaroni, an Italian operatic bass-baritone, was born in 1975 in Ciudad Bolívar, Venezuela. His family moved to Busseto, Italy, when he was four years old. It was in Italy that he began his music education and later studied at the Giuseppe Verdi Conservatory in Milan. He furthered his education in Buenos Aires and New York.
Rapid Career Development
Pisaroni made his debut in 2001 in Mozart's "Le Nozze di Figaro" and was awarded the Eberhard-Wächter Medal by the Vienna State Opera in the same year. His career rapidly developed, and he appeared on major European and American opera stages and festivals, including Salzburg Summer Festival. Pisaroni gained particular recognition for his performances in Mozart's repertoire, with notable roles such as Figaro, Don Giovanni, and Leporello.
A Versatile Performer
In addition to his opera performances, Pisaroni has participated in numerous concerts, collaborating with renowned orchestras such as the Berlin Philharmonic and the Orchestre National de France. He has sung works by Handel, Puccini, Vivaldi, Haydn, and many others. However, he is most renowned for his interpretations of Mozart.
Recordings and Personal Life
Pisaroni has made numerous recordings, including DVDs, in cities such as Amsterdam, Salzburg, and Glyndebourne. He currently resides in Vienna with his wife Catherine, their golden retriever named Lenny, and a dachshund named Tristan.
