Early Life and Military Career
Stanisław Celichowski, a Polish military officer and politician, actively participated in the Great Poland Uprising (1918-1919) and the Polish-Soviet War. His valor earned him the Silver Cross of the Virtuti Militari in 1921.
Political Career
Celichowski entered the political arena as a member of the Sejm, Poland's parliament, from 1930 to 1931. He later held the prestigious positions of Voivode of Wilno (1935-1939) and Voivode of Poznań (1939).
Exile and Demise
The outbreak of World War II forced Celichowski into exile in London, where he passed away and was laid to rest.
