Lukáš Dlouhý, a Czech professional tennis player, began his tennis journey at the tender age of five. In 2000, Dlouhý marked his first tournament win in the doubles competition of a Futures tournament. The following year, he triumphed at his maiden Challenger tournament in Prague, partnering with David Miketa. By 2005, he had secured two Challenger titles in singles (Ostrava and Trani) and five in doubles. These accomplishments propelled him into the top 100 rankings in both singles and doubles in the ATP rankings.

Breakthrough with Pavel Vízner (2006-2007)

Teaming up with his coach, Pavel Vízner, Dlouhý's career reached new heights in 2006. They claimed two ATP titles in Bahia and Estoril, followed by a remarkable run to the semifinals of the French Open. In the same tournament, Dlouhý achieved a third-round finish in singles. Vízner and Dlouhý concluded the season ranked 10th in doubles, with Dlouhý himself holding an 11th-place position in the doubles rankings.

In 2007, the Vízner-Dlouhý duo continued their success, reaching two Grand Slam finals: the French Open and the US Open. They ended the season ranked fifth, earning them a spot in the Tennis Masters Cup, where they won two of their three group-stage matches.

Partnership with Leander Paes (2008-2009)

2008 marked a pivotal change as Dlouhý began collaborating with Indian tennis legend Leander Paes. Together, they conquered the Bangkok tournament and advanced to the Wimbledon semifinals and US Open final. Dlouhý once again qualified for the Masters Cup in doubles.
