A Diverse Writing Journey

Throughout her years of education and work, Hunter had to write numerous essays, articles, and books unrelated to romance novels. However, in her free time, she continued to write something "for the soul." Her first literary creation was a mystical short story, followed by a family saga. Eventually, she decided to turn to the historical romance genre, which she had always loved, focusing on the period she knew well – medieval England.

Her debut novel, 'By Arrangement,' published by Bantam Books in 2000, told the story of a noblewoman forced into marriage with a merchant by the king and the blossoming love between them. The captivating historical backdrop, authentic and lifelike characters, and intriguing plot development received high praise from readers. The novel was awarded the 'Best Debut Bestseller' by Waldenbooks and became the fourth book in the 'Medieval' series, currently consisting of six works.

The second novel in the series, titled 'By Design,' also released in 2000, received a 'starred review' in Publisher's Weekly. The sixth book in the series, 'Stealing Heaven,' which has yet to be translated into Russian, won the 'RITA' award for 'Best Historical Romance.' Hunter also achieved success with other historical romance series, such as 'The Seducer' and 'The Rothwell Brothers.' The third Rothwell book, 'Lessons of Desire,' was also awarded the 'RITA.'

Currently, Hunter continues to work on her latest series, the 'Fairbourne Quartet,' which are romantic detective novels set in 19th-century England.
