Marek Kamiński, a Polish traveler, polar explorer, author, and entrepreneur, is renowned for his extraordinary achievements. He holds the unique distinction of being the first and only person in history to reach both the North and South Poles within a single year, without external assistance.

Early Life and Education

Born and raised in Polczyn-Zdrój, Kamiński graduated from the II Władysław Broniewski General Education High School in Koszalin in 1982. He pursued higher education at the University of Warsaw, studying philosophy and physics.

Polar Expeditions

Kamiński's greatest accomplishments lie in his polar expeditions. On May 23, 1995, accompanied by Wojciech Moskal, he reached the North Pole. Just seven months later, on December 27, 1995, he became the first Pole to reach the South Pole alone.

Other Endeavors

Beyond his polar expeditions, Kamiński is an accomplished author, having penned several books about his travels and experiences. He is also a successful entrepreneur, having co-founded and owned Invena S.A. Additionally, he established the Marek Kamiński Foundation.

Personal Life
