Maria Kaznacheeva was born on September 17, 1981, in Yekaterinburg, Russia, into a theatrical family. Her father was a theatrical artist and her mother was a director. She lived in Yekaterinburg for the first three years of her life before her family moved to Perm when her father was offered a job at the Perm Youth Theater.
