Inspired by her father, a renowned orienteering coach, Marina pursued volleyball at a young age. While attending the Ural Academy of Labor and Social Relations, she honed her skills as a setter, a crucial position in the sport.

National Team Debut

In 2003, Sheshenina's exceptional talent earned her a place on the Russian national volleyball team, under the legendary coach Nikolai Karpol. As a rising star, she represented her country at the 2004 Athens Olympics, earning a silver medal.
