Early LifeMarissa Ribisi was born on December 17, 1974, in Los Angeles, California. Her mother, Gay Landrum, is a talent manager and writer, while her father, Al Ribisi, is a musician. Marissa and her twin brother, actor Giovanni Ribisi, were delivered by midwife Bibbe Hansen, the mother of artist Beck Hansen, who later became Marissa's husband.

Acting Career
Marissa Ribisi began her acting career at the age of nine. She made her television debut in 1988, playing the role of Ginger in an episode of the series "She'll Get Over It." This was followed by minor roles in series such as "Baywatch" and "DEA," as well as a receptionist role in the miniseries "Tales of the City" in 1993.

In 1993, Ribisi earned her first role in a feature film, the comedy-drama "Dazed and Confused" alongside Jason London, Matthew McConaughey, and Adam Goldberg. She portrayed a socially awkward outsider who hangs out with two similar boys from the outside world.

Ribisi also appeared in films such as "Don's Plum," "True Crime," and "Pleasantville," the latter of which she shared the screen with Tobey Maguire and Reese Witherspoon.
In 1998, Ribisi co-wrote and starred in the film "Some Girl," alongside Juliette Lewis, Giovanni Ribisi, and Michael Rapaport. The film, directed by Rory Kennedy, tells the story of four insecure friends trying to establish long-term relationships in 1990s Los Angeles.
Later Career and Personal Life
After her role as Wendy in the romance film "According to Spencer" in 2001, Ribisi appeared in the adventure drama "Lightfield's Home Videos" in 2006. In October 2007, she launched a fashion line called "Whitley Kros" with her partner Sophia Banks.
Marissa Ribisi married Beck Hansen in April 2004, shortly before the birth of their son, Cosimo Henri. The couple welcomed their second child, daughter Tuesday, in 2007. Like her husband and brother, Ribisi is a Scientologist.
