Formula 3000 and Test Driver Roles
Moving up the ranks, Hill joined the Formula 3000 circuit in 1987, while simultaneously competing in sports car races with Nissan. His prominence earned him a test driver role with the esteemed Williams Formula 1 team in 1990.
Formula 1 Debut and Brabham Stint
In 1991, Hill made his Formula 1 debut with Brabham, securing his first championship point with a sixth-place finish at the Belgian Grand Prix.
McLaren and 24 Hours of Le Mans Victory
As a test driver for McLaren in 1992, Hill's racing instincts led him to a remarkable triumph at the iconic 24 Hours of Le Mans, piloting a Peugeot-905.
Ligier and Tyrrell Years
