Martin Weinek is a renowned theater and film actor, best known for his role as Inspector Fritz Kunz in the television series "Kommissar Rex".
Early Life and Career
Martin Weinek began his acting journey in 1983 when he studied acting under the guidance of Professor Jost until 1986. After completing his training, he performed in various theaters in Vienna.
He made his film debut in a minor role as an elevator operator in the movie "Nachsaison". A year later, Weinek participated in a theater festival in Recklinghausen, where he played one of the main roles in the play "Der Lechner Edi schaut ins Paradies" based on the play by Jura Soyfer and directed by Georg Mittendrain. He also appeared in the film "Müllomania" directed by Dieter Berner, portraying a garbage collector.
From 1988 to 1989, Weinek performed at the Jura Soyfer Theater in Vienna and other small troupes. During this time, he also took on roles as a director and producer. In 1989, he landed a role in the TV series "Calafati Joe" and later became the director of the Gernalzer Theater in Vienna.
Breakthrough Role and Success
