Early Life and CareerMauricio Baldivieso, a Bolivian footballer, made history on July 19, 2009, when he became the youngest professional player in football history at the age of 12. Facing a shortage of injured players, his father, Julio César Baldivieso, the coach of Aurora, brought him into the first team against La Paz. Mauricio entered the field wearing the number 10 shirt and played for 6 minutes, earning a free kick and being fouled by Romulo Alaca. Despite needing a stretcher to leave the pitch, he finished the match, which La Paz won 1-0.
Controversy and Departure
Julio César planned to continue playing his son, but the club's management demanded Mauricio's removal. When Julio César refused, both father and son left Aurora. Despite their departure, Mauricio remained the youngest player to ever debut in a top division.
Later Career
On July 31, 2011, Mauricio made his second professional appearance, coming on as a substitute in the 89th minute of Aurora's match against Jorge Wilstermann. This time, he played under the guidance of his father once again. After Julio César's departure as head coach, Mauricio continued to play for Aurora and was included in their squad for the Bolivian league championship.
