Early Career and Move to Mexico

Mariano Andújar is an Argentine professional footballer who plays as a goalkeeper for Talleres de Córdoba. He began his career with Instituto, where he made 139 appearances between 2000 and 2005. In 2005, he joined Mexican club Santos Laguna, where he became a regular starter and played 47 matches in 2005 and 2006.

Boca Juniors and Club World Cup

On 10 February 2007, Andújar made his debut for Boca Juniors in a 4-0 win against Banfield. He was the regular goalkeeper for Boca Juniors during the 2007-08 seasons and helped the team win the 2007 Copa Libertadores. In December of that year, he participated in the Club World Cup, where Boca Juniors reached the final but lost 4-2 to Milan.

Conflict and Return to Boca Juniors

In early 2009, Andújar was excluded from the Boca Juniors squad due to a conflict with coach Carlos Ischia, but he remained on the club's payroll for several months. This incident prompted the return to Boca Juniors of Argentine national team goalkeeper Roberto Abbondanzieri.

Later Career

In late March, Andújar announced the signing of a contract with Lanús, where he remained before returning to Talleres de Córdoba in 2020.
