Biography of Michael Ammermüller
German racing driver Michael Ammermüller started his career in the world of motorsports by participating in various Formula Renault championships. In 2004, he competed in the German Formula Renault and Formula Renault 2000 Eurocup, driving car number 3. His talent and potential caught the attention of Red Bull, who signed him as a permanent tester in 2007 after his involvement in the last three races of the 2006 season as a third driver.

In 2006, Ammermüller also raced in the GP2 series for Arden International. He was part of the Red Bull young driver development program, which opened up opportunities for him when Christian Klien was dismissed from the Red Bull Racing Formula 1 team three races before the end of the 2006 season, and the third driver, Robert Doornbos, secured a second-place finish. This created a vacancy in the team, and Ammermüller was chosen as the third driver for the final three races. He completed the necessary test sessions on September 14th to obtain the super license required to compete in Formula 1.

In 2007, Ammermüller's GP2 season was cut short due to an injury, and he was replaced by Sebastian Buemi. However, an opportunity arose for him when Sebastian Vettel moved to Red Bull Scuderia Toro Rosso, leaving a vacant spot in the World Series by Renault. Ammermüller joined the series and also competed in the International Formula Master in 2008.
Ammermüller represented Germany in the A1 Grand Prix and faced some controversies during his racing career. In the third race of the 2007-08 season in Sepang, he was involved in incidents with other drivers, earning him the nickname "Hammermüller." Despite facing disqualification, he managed to secure a victory in Zhuhai three weeks later.
