Biography of Michael Cornelius Anderson

Michael Cornelius Anderson was born in the United States, in the state of Missouri. Not much is known about his life before 1999. Along with his friends, Anderson committed a robbery at a Burger King restaurant, armed with an airgun. He was sentenced to 13 years in prison for this crime. However, like many criminals who admit their guilt, he was released home only to be called back for incarceration a few days later. But the corresponding document never arrived.

Initially, Anderson was scared, but he decided not to go to the police, as the law states that the authorities should contact him themselves. Over time, his life began to improve: his wild youth was left behind, Michael got married, and he and his wife had four children.

After his arrest in April 2014, the investigation claimed that Michael had indeed tried to hide, but all his documents were changed on time by himself, and his annual tax returns were also submitted on time. Anderson even started his own business and became a decent employer after registering it. Overall, it can be said that during the 13 years, Michael was an exemplary citizen. However, the court still demands the full 13-year punishment.

Michael admitted that he always knew this day would come, so he tried to live each day as if it were his last day before 13 years behind bars. However, now, almost 15 years after the sentence was given, there is hardly any common sense in repeating the verdict and sentencing this "perfect American" to such a term.

Most liberal-minded people believe that the most logical form of punishment would be a fine or a suspended sentence. Even many conservatives, despite their more rigid views on justice, voiced their support for Anderson, believing that he was able to rehabilitate himself.

Currently, no final decision has been reached, but Michael Cornelius Anderson's story has undoubtedly left American lawyers at a standstill.
