Early Life and Education
Born in 1904 in the Perm Oblast of Russia,Nikolai Aleksandrovich Krasilnikov embarked on his scientific journey at an early age. He graduated from Perm State University in 1929, where his passion for chemistry took root.
Research and Academia
After his university graduation,Krasilnikov delved into research at Perm State University. He later became the head of the Department of the Leningrad Milk Industry Institute from 1933 to 1937.
Career in Kazakhstan
In 1938, Krasilnikov relocated to Almaty, Kazakhstan,where he served as head of the Department of the Almaty Zooveterinary Institute. He then became head of a laboratory at the institute. In 1942,he was appointed director of the Chemico-Metallurgical Institute of the Kazakh Academy of Sciences (KazFAN USSR).
Founding Member of the Kazakh Academy of Sciences
1946 proved to be a pivotal year for Krasilnikov.He played a key role in the establishment of the Kazakh Academy of Sciences (AN KazSSR) and was elected its vice president. He held this position until 1955.
Scientific Contributions
Krasilnikov's research focused on chemistry of natural compoundsand their synthetic transformation. He also made significant contributions to the technology of hydrolysis production. His work earned him widespread recognition in the field.

Krasilnikov's exceptional contributions to science were duly recognized. He received prestigious awards, including the Order of Lenin, the Order of the October Revolution, and the Order of the Red Banner of Labor.
