Biography of Michael Michel
Michael Michel is an American film and television actress who has gained attention for her portrayals of strong and talented women. She was born to Jerry, a Caucasian businessman, and Teresa, an African-American corporate manager. Michel grew up with a love for sports, particularly volleyball, basketball, and running.
After finishing her education, Michel moved to New York and quickly found work in the advertising industry. This opportunity almost led her to a role in the comedy film "Harlem Nights" in 1989, starring Eddie Murphy. However, she faced sexual harassment from Murphy and had to file a lawsuit, which was eventually settled out of court.
To make ends meet, Michel agreed to work at a retail clothing store. In 1991, she made a breakthrough in her acting career with her role in the thriller film "New Jack City" alongside Wesley Snipes and Ice-T. This was followed by a regular role in the short-lived series "1st & Ten". Michel's outstanding performance in the miniseries "Trade Winds" led to her role as Sandra in the series "Undercover Cops" and Nicki Sheridan in another multi-part project, "Central Park, New York".

Her portrayal of a pediatrician allowed her to secure roles in two major films in 2003: "How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days" with Kate Hudson and Matthew McConaughey, and "The Curse Season" with Kurt Russell and Scott Speedman.
Despite her acting career, Michel remains devoted to her passion for running and enjoys playing basketball in her free time between shoots. She is also actively involved in the upbringing of children from disadvantaged families. Additionally, Michel is a jazz enthusiast.
