Early Life and Career

Michaëlla Krajicek was born on January 9, 1989, in the historical Dutch city of Delft. Her passion for tennis began at an early age, and she quickly rose through the ranks to become Europe's top-ranked junior player.

Junior Success and Breakthrough

At the age of 13, Krajicek helped her Dutch team win the Cesky Telecom World Junior Tennis tournament, capturing victories in both singles and doubles. In 2003, she triumphed at the Yucatan Cup, Italian Open, and reached the semifinals and finals in singles and doubles at the French Open and US Open, respectively.

Senior Career and Accomplishments

Krajicek turned professional in 2005 and has since amassed three WTA titles and seven ITF titles. She has achieved a career-high world ranking of 30 in singles, making her the Netherlands' second-highest-ranked female player.
