Michelle Stafford is an American actress, best known for her role as Phyllis Summers in the soap opera "The Young and the Restless". She began her career as a model, which allowed her to showcase herself to the world, including trips to Japan, France, and Italy. After spending a year in Italy, she decided to pursue her dormant desire to become an actress. Upon returning to the United States, Stafford immersed herself in a series of auditions, eventually landing her first role in the teen soap opera "Tribes". She then went on to appear in various commercials and guest roles in different TV shows.
Stafford's career took a significant turn when she had the opportunity to work with Oscar and Tony Award winner Charles Durning in two plays. Following her performance in the play "Savage in Limbo", she received praise from the press, with the Los Angeles Times referring to her as sensational. However, the peak of her career came when she landed the role of the cunning and calculating Phyllis in the soap opera "The Young and the Restless". Originally intended as a short-term character, Stafford's portrayal captivated audiences, leading to her extended stay on the show.
