Biography of Mike Judge
Michael Craig 'Mike' Judge, born on October 17, 1962, is an American animator, film director, and voice actor. He is best known as the creator of popular animated series such as 'Beavis and Butt-Head,' 'King of the Hill,' and 'The Goode Family.' Judge has also directed several feature films including 'Beavis and Butt-Head Do America,' 'Office Space,' 'Idiocracy,' and 'Extract.'

Early Life:
Mike Judge was born in Guayaquil, Ecuador and was raised in Albuquerque, New Mexico. His parents were anthropologist Jim Judge and librarian Margaret Blue. In 1985, he graduated from the University of California in San Diego with a Bachelor's degree in Physics.

Early Career:
In 1991, Judge released his first project, the short film 'Office Space.' The rights to the film were acquired by Comedy Central, and it was soon showcased at the Dallas Animation Festival. In 1992, he created his first short film about Beavis and Butt-Head titled 'Frog Baseball.' The film was initially shown on 'Liquid Television' and later on MTV. The short film quickly grew into a full-length animated series, 'Beavis and Butt-Head,' with Judge providing the voices for both main characters and many supporting characters. The schools attended by Beavis and Butt-Head, Wilson Middle School and Highland High School, were named after real schools in Albuquerque. The series aired from 1993 to 1997 and gained considerable popularity, even serving as the basis for the feature film 'Beavis and Butt-Head Do America.'

'King of the Hill' and Other Projects:
In 1997, Judge created the new series 'King of the Hill' for Fox. Many of the characters in the series were based on people Judge knew in Texas. Similar to his previous work, Judge provided the voices for two main characters, Hank Hill and Boomhauer. In 1999, he adapted his first project into the comedy film 'Office Space,' in which he played the role of Stan, a manager in a fictional restaurant chain. Initially, the film did not perform well, but its release on video significantly improved its success. Judge and animator Don Hertzfeldt have been running their own animation festival, 'The Animation Show,' since the fall of 2003.

Later Projects:
In 2006, Judge released the dystopian film 'Idiocracy.' It had a limited theatrical release and received little promotion, but it gained a cult following after its DVD release in January 2007. Judge's next animated series, 'The Goode Family,' premiered on ABC in early 2010 but was soon canceled. Currently, Mike Judge resides in Austin, Texas.
