Early Life and Career

Ventimiglia developed a congenital condition that caused the death of several nerve cells, resulting in a drooping lower lip. At the age of eighteen, after attending the summer program at the American Conservatory Theater, Ventimiglia actively pursued an acting career. He appeared in well-known television series such as "Beverly Hills, 90210," "CSI: Crime Scene Investigation," "Sabrina the Teenage Witch," "Law & Order," and "Opposite Sex." Breakthrough Roles

From 2001 to 2004, Ventimiglia portrayed the character Jess Mariano in the series "Gilmore Girls" and was set to play the lead role in the anticipated spin-off "Windward Circle" (unfortunately, the project was canceled due to expected high costs). During the same time, Ventimiglia played the role of Chris Pierce, a rebel and friend of the main character in the series "American Dreams," one of the key characters in the third and final season.

Recent Work

In 2005, Ventimiglia landed the lead role in the midseason series "Bedford Diaries" without auditions - the role was originally written for him. However, the series only lasted eight episodes and did not make it to the main broadcast schedule. During the break between seasons, Ventimiglia took on several supporting roles, including in horror films such as "Stay Alive" and "Pathology." He also had the opportunity to work with Sylvester Stallone in the new episode of his classic "Rocky" series - "Rocky Balboa," where he played the younger Balboa (this was later referenced in the show "Gilmore Girls").

Current Projects

Currently, Ventimiglia is starring in the NBC series "Heroes," which tells the story of ordinary people who suddenly develop superpowers, in the role of Peter Petrelli. In 2008, he appeared in the horror film "Pathology" alongside "Charmed" star Alyssa Milano. Despite the film's average performance, Ventimiglia enjoyed working with the screenwriters, Mark Neveldine and Brian Taylor, and has already agreed to participate in their next project, "Gamer." In 2007, he appeared in a music video for the popular R&B singer Fergie's hit song "Big Girls Don't Cry."

Personal Life

Ventimiglia is a vegetarian and does not smoke or drink. Currently, he is in a relationship with his "Heroes" co-star, Hayden Panettiere.
