Miranda Cosgrove Biography
Miranda Taylor Cosgrove was born on May 14, 1993, in Los Angeles, California. She is an American film and television actress. At the age of three, Miranda began singing and dancing in a Los Angeles restaurant, where she was immediately noticed by a talent agent. Despite receiving an invitation from the agent, Miranda did not believe she could become an actress. However, she agreed to the offer and appeared in several television commercials and pursued a career in modeling.

Early Career
At the age of seven, Miranda firmly decided to pursue her passion and embarked on a series of auditions. She made her first television appearance in 2001 as a five-year-old Lana Lang in the pilot episode of the popular series "Smallville." Two years later, Miranda made her film debut in the comedy "School of Rock" (2003), where she played the role of ambitious and highly organized Summer Hathaway. The film was a huge success, grossing over $130 million worldwide and receiving positive reviews from critics. Miranda's performance was also praised by some reviewers.

Rise to Fame
During the filming of "School of Rock," Miranda learned about auditions for the pilot episode of the series "Drake & Josh." She was cast as Megan Parker, the mischievous sister of one of the main characters. The show premiered on January 11, 2004, and received favorable reviews. However, it was her next project, "iCarly," that catapulted Miranda into music. It all began with the show's theme song, "Leave It All to Me," which she performed with her "Drake & Josh" co-star Drake Bell. The song, written by Michael Corcoran of the band "Bell," was released as a single in December 2007 and quickly climbed the charts, reaching the top 100 on the Billboard chart.

Music Career
In 2008, Columbia Records released the soundtrack for "iCarly," which included four songs performed by Miranda - "Leave It All to Me," "Stay My Baby," "About You Now," and "Headphones On." Critics generally praised her music. "Stay My Baby" and "About You Now" were later released as separate singles, with the latter reaching the forty-seventh position on the Billboard chart. On February 3, 2009, Miranda released her first solo single, an extended version of "About You Now," which was exclusively sold through iTunes. She also released the single "Raining Sunshine" as part of a promotional campaign for the animated film "Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs," which was accompanied by a music video.
