Early Life and Education

Andrea Pyle was born on November 16, 1972, in Houston, Texas, to Linda and Frank Pyle. Her family later moved to Tennessee, where she grew up in a large brood with two older sisters (Debbie and Julie), two older brothers (Sam and Paul), a younger half-brother (Gordon), and a half-sister (Meredith). Pyle attended Germantown High School in Germantown, Tennessee, and graduated from the North Carolina School of the Arts in 1995.

Acting Career

Pyle's acting career began with a small role in "As Good as It Gets" (1997). Her breakout role came as Gwen DeMarco in "Galaxy Quest" (1999). She went on to star in films such as "Bringing Down the House" (2003), "Home Alone 4" (2002), "Charlie and the Chocolate Factory" (2005), and "Dodgeball" (2004), in which she played the lead role. Pyle has also appeared in television shows such as "Heroes," "Boston Legal," and "The Sarah Silverman Program."

Music Career

In addition to her acting, Pyle is an accomplished country singer. She is a member of the country-rock group Smith & Pyle, which she formed with actress Shawnee Smith. In 2008, they released their debut album, "It's OK to Be Happy," on their own label, Urban Prairie Records.

Personal Life

On September 12, 2008, Pyle married Casey Anderson, a National Geographic bear specialist. The wedding ceremony took place in Montana and was attended by one of Anderson's bears, Brutus, as well as Smith. Pyle currently resides in Montana and continues to act and pursue her music career.
