Early Life and Acting Beginnings

Montana Jordan, born on March 8, 2003, in Longview, Texas, is the third child of Tony Jordan and Kelly Piratt, an elementary school teacher. He has two older sisters, Jaden and Cataleya. His parents divorced when he was five, and Kelly remarried Rusty Smith in 2008. Despite the separation, Jordan maintained a close relationship with his father.

Growing up in the small town of Ore City, Texas, Jordan, a left-handed boy, enjoyed outdoor activities such as dirt-biking, playing on the local football team, and spending time in nature. His father taught him survival skills and hunting. Family members encouraged his creativity, serving as an audience for his childhood performances.

Film Career

At the age of 12, Jordan's mother took him to North Carolina for an audition for the role of the son of the main character in the feature-length comedy-drama "The Legacy of a Whitetail Hunter." Director Jody Hill selected the charismatic Texan over 10,000 other candidates. In the film, released in March 2018 at the South by Southwest festival, Jordan plays the role of Jayden Ferguson, a teenage son sought after by famed hunter Buck Ferguson (Josh Brolin).

Jordan's film debut was followed by an appearance in an episode of the sitcom "The Big Bang Theory," which aired on Netflix in December 2018. He portrays George (Georgie) Cooper, the elder brother of Sheldon and Missy Cooper, a character that migrated to the prequel series "Young Sheldon," which began airing in 2017.

Television Success

Montana Jordan's portrayal of Georgie Cooper in "Young Sheldon" has garnered critical acclaim. The show follows the life of young prodigy Sheldon, who lives with his family in East Texas and begins high school at the age of nine. Jordan stars alongside Iain Armitage, Raegan Revord, Zoe Perry, Lance Barber, Annie Potts, and Emily Osment. The voice of adult Sheldon, narrating the events of the series, is provided by Jim Parsons, who portrayed the titular character in "The Big Bang Theory."
