Biography of Nadezhda Bakhtina

Nadezhda Bakhtina was born on August 14, 1979, in the city of Pushkino, Moscow Region, in a large family (she has four brothers). Her mother is a pediatrician, and her father is a linguist. Despite attending five different schools during her education, Nadezhda excelled in her studies, particularly in literature and Russian language. From a young age, she demonstrated creative inclinations, enjoying drawing, writing poetry, singing, and dancing. She learned to play the guitar and often performed for her friends. In the eighth grade, Nadezhda started attending a theater studio in the House of Culture in Pushkino.

The Beginning of Her Acting Career

During her student years, Nadezhda and three of her classmates organized their own theater company called "Shchukin's Children." By the end of their institute studies, they had already performed several plays. The young actors were given a small stage at the Central House of Artists, where they rehearsed, performed, and went on tours around the Moscow Region. After graduating from the acting school in 2001, "Shchukin's Children" established their own theater called "Tragi-Fars." The productions of this young collective were known for their youthful freshness and energy, with Nadezhda consistently playing leading roles. Some of her notable theater performances include Margarita in the play "Master and Margarita," Marina Mniszek in "Boris Godunov," Clementine in "Forgetting Herostatus," and Phineas in the play "Fool."

Transition to Film and Television

As her theater career progressed, Nadezhda also ventured into film and television. Her debut role was as Eli in the children's adventure series "Iskateli" (Seekers) after graduating from the Shchukin School. She went on to appear in popular series such as "Graf Krestovsky" (Count Krestovsky) and "Balzakovskiy Vozrast, ili Vse Muzhiki Svo..." (The Balzac Age, or All Men Are...). However, it was her role as Lyucita in the series "Karmelita" (Carmelita) that brought her widespread recognition. She originally hesitated to audition for the role but was convinced by her mother. Nadezhda was chosen out of nearly two hundred actresses for the role. She portrayed the proud and determined gypsy character, which resonated with her childhood fascination with gypsies. The role became a defining one for Nadezhda, but she managed to avoid being typecast and continued to take on diverse roles in film and television.

Personal Life and Further Success

In 2005, while filming the movie "Dyavol iz Orli" (Devil from Orly), Nadezhda met her future husband, actor Alexander Nikitin. They initially kept their feelings hidden but eventually revealed their love for each other and got married in 2007. Nadezhda continued to have success in her acting career, appearing in films such as "Pushkin: Poslednyaya Duel" (Pushkin: The Last Duel), "Tsyganki" (Gypsies), "Tyazhelyy Pesok" (Heavy Sand), and "Otrazhenie" (Reflection). She also participated in a charitable concert program called "My s Vami" (We Are with You), which toured various cities in Russia.
