Childhood and Early Life

Nenda Neururer, an Austrian actress, was born in the picturesque Alpine village of Ötztal, Western Austria, in 1995. Her passion for acting ignited at a tender age of five, when she expressed her desire to become an actress to her mother. However, her initial path led her to the University of Chemistry. After completing a single semester, Neururer realized her true calling and pursued acting, embarking on a journey to find a reputable theater institute. At the age of 19, she relocated to London to enhance her acting skills and improve her English proficiency. She enrolled at Rose Bruford College, where she graduated in 2017.

Theatrical Beginnings and Breakthrough in Film

Neururer's acting career took off in theater. She graced numerous London stages with performances in classical plays such as "Romeo and Juliet" and "Death of a Salesman." Her talent extended beyond acting, as she showcased her skills in singing, dancing, playing musical instruments, and delivering both hilarious comedy and heartfelt drama. Her versatility caught the attention not only of theatergoers but also of casting agents seeking actors for film roles.

Her film debut came in 2018 with a cameo as a social worker in the short film "Sunrise Not Sunset," which delved into the story of an elderly Jewish couple. Neururer continued to build her filmography with three additional short films.

Musical Breakthrough with "Mixed Feelings"

Amidst the worldwide lockdown in spring 2020, Neururer penned her debut solo track, "Mixed Feelings." Inspired by a late-night burst of creativity, the song explored the complexities of racism, an issue she had personally encountered. Drawing from her experiences in both her hometown of Ötztal and the multicultural city of London, she addressed the subtle and overt forms of prejudice faced by people of color. Supported by a grant for female artists during the pandemic, Neururer recorded the song in a studio, merging elements of English and Tirolian dialects. "Mixed Feelings" became a viral sensation, propelling her into the music industry spotlight.

Personal Life and Interests

Outside her professional pursuits, Neururer is an avid lover of the outdoors, engaging in activities such as rock climbing, skateboarding, and playing ball sports. She enjoys spending time with friends, attending movies, reading, and listening to music. Additionally, she has been featured in professional photo shoots, gracing the pages of glossy magazines.

Recent Projects: "Ascension"

In 2021, Neururer joined the cast of the supernatural series "Ascension," alongside renowned actors Clara Rugaard and Matthew McNulty. The show follows a young woman named Niamh who discovers she has died and embarks on a journey to find her murderer. Neururer portrays Alex, the daughter of a detective investigating the case, who possesses the ability to see and communicate with the protagonist. Their shared experiences and search for the truth foster a romantic connection between them. The series premiered at the Berlin International Film Festival in February 2022 and was released to wide audiences in early May.
