Early Life and Background

Nurbek Oralbay was born on June 11, 2000, in the village of Aisha-Bibi, Zhambyl region, Kazakhstan. Hailing from the Tama clan of the Zhetyru tribe, he is the twin brother of fellow boxer Aibek Oralbay.

Amateur Career: 2018-2020

Oralbay's amateur career began in 2018 when he claimed the silver medal at the Asian Youth Championships. In August of the same year, he soared to victory at the World Youth Championships in Budapest, Hungary, where he defeated Russian boxer Daniil Teterev in the final.

National Success: 2021-2023

In 2021, Oralbay emerged as the Kazakhstan National Champion. He went on to secure the bronze medal at the Asian Championships in Amman, Jordan, in 2022. His crowning achievement came in May 2023 when he captured the World Championship title in Tashkent, Uzbekistan.

World Champion: 2023

Oralbay's impressive run at the World Championships saw him secure consecutive victories over boxers from Turkey, Jordan, Russia, and China. In the final, he triumphed over Tolkynbek Tangatang, an ethnic Kazakh representing China.
