Early Life and Education

Born on April 6, 1962, in Karakool, Issyk-Kul Oblast, the Kyrgyz Republic, the renowned playwright, director, and producer embarked on his artistic journey. In 1984, he graduated from the Tashkent State Institute of Theater and Art, specializing in stage direction under the tutelage of renowned Soviet film director Shuhrat Abbasov.

Military Service and Early Career

From 1984 to 1986, he served in the Soviet military at the Ignalina Nuclear Power Plant in Lithuania. Upon his return, he joined theaters in Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, and Russia, as well as the Kyrgyzfilm National Film Studio.

Directing and Management Roles

Between 2001 and 2004, he led the Youth Theater as Artistic Director and Director. From 2004 to 2007, he served as Artistic Director of the Kyrgyz National Academic Drama Theater named after T. Abduomumunov. In 2007, he became Director of the Kyrgyzserialdary department of the National Television. From 2009 to 2010, he was Deputy Director of the Department of Cinematography at the Ministry of Culture and Information of the Kyrgyz Republic.

Own Production Studio and Artistic Endeavors

Since 2010, he has focused on developing his own studio, Solar Nomad Production. In 2018, he became Director of the State Russian Drama Theater named after Ch. Aitmatov. Throughout his career, he has received numerous accolades, including the State Youth Prize named after Ch. Aitmatov (1991), Honored Artist of the Kyrgyz Republic (2000), Person of the Year (2008), and membership in the Association of Artists of Russian Theaters Abroad (2020).

Legacy and Contributions

As one of the founders of the Kyrgyz National Film Award "Ak Ilbirs" in 2012, he continues to shape the cultural landscape of his country. His contributions to theater, film, and television have had a profound impact on Kyrgyz arts and culture, earning him the prestigious title of People's Artist of the Kyrgyz Republic.
