Biograhpy of Olesya Potashinskaya
Olesya Potashinskaya was born in 1973 in Leningrad. Although her parents named her Olga, she preferred to be called Olesya. She had a mischievous nature as a child, once wandering off and falling into a hole in the ground, but luckily she was quickly rescued. Olesya also had a fear of nuclear war and vividly remembers the preparations for it during her childhood in the early 1980s.

Growing up, Olesya excelled in swimming, reaching the third youth rank, and even had the potential to join the Olympic reserve. However, she also had a passion for the arts and attended a theater school. When the time came to choose between sports and the arts, Olesya decided to pursue acting.

In 1994, Olesya Potashinskaya graduated from the Moscow Art Theatre School (GITIS), studying under the renowned theater director Oleg Tabakov. Shortly after, she was invited to join the theater "U Nikitskikh Vorot" under the direction of Mark Rozovsky. On its stage, she played various roles, including Lisa in "Poor Liza," Adelina in "Fan-Fan Tulipan," Vera in "Duck Hunting," Varya in Chekhov's "The Cherry Orchard," and Sonia Marmeladova in the adaptation of Fyodor Dostoevsky's "Crime and Punishment."
Currently, Olesya Potashinskaya collaborates with independent theater projects. One of her notable works is her role in Valery Storchak's play "Plato-Latin America." In addition to her theater career, Olesya has also ventured into film. She made her debut as a photo model named Mayskaya in the mini-series "Klubnichka," followed by a leading role in the film "$8 1/2" directed by Grigory Konstantinopolsky.
Olesya Potashinskaya's career in film continued to flourish in the new millennium, with roles in popular TV series such as "Kamenskaya," "National Security Agent," "Streets of Broken Lanterns," "In Motion," and "The Stiletto." One of her notable performances was as Natasha Alisova in the war detective film "The War Man," directed by Alexey Muradov.
With each role, Olesya Potashinskaya has solidified her position in the Russian film industry. As she continues to work on new projects, there is a possibility that she may become a star of the big screen in the near future.
