Early Life and Education

Ukrainian soprano Solomiya Krushelnytska was born in Ternopil, Ukraine. She graduated from the Lviv Conservatory in 1974, named after the Ukrainian composer Mykola Lysenko.

Operatic Career

Lviv Philharmonic and National House of Organ and Chamber Music

From 1975 to 1984, Krushelnytska was a soloist with the Lviv Philharmonic Orchestra. In 1984, she joined the Republican House of Organ and Chamber Music (now known as the National House of Organ and Chamber Music of Ukraine) as a soloist.

International Recognition

In 1993, Krushelnytska participated in the "Shevchenko March," a series of concerts in Russia where she met with locals and supported the establishment of an Institute dedicated to the Ukrainian poet Taras Shevchenko.

Awards and Honors

Hero of Ukraine

Krushelnytska was awarded the title of Hero of Ukraine on August 21, 2010, in recognition of her exceptional contributions to Ukrainian music and her promotion of Ukrainian vocal artistry on the international stage.
