Early Career
Olivier Beretta, a Monegasque racing driver, began his career in motorsports with Formula 3 in 1990. Despite a victory in 1991, his results were less impressive, placing sixth overall in the International Formula 3000 in 1993 with only one victory.
Formula 1
In 1994, Beretta ascended to Formula 1, joining the Larrousse team. However, he failed to score any points, and was replaced by Philippe Alliot at the Hungarian Grand Prix.
Endurance Racing
Beretta subsequently focused on endurance racing, participating in the 24 Hours of Le Mans in 1995 and 1996. From 1997, he began competing in the FIA GT Championship, emerging victorious twice in 1998 and 1999 with the Chrysler Viper.
ALMS and Le Mans Success
In 1999, Beretta entered the ALMS Championship, claiming multiple GT1 championships with the Chrysler Viper in 1999-2000 and the Chevrolet Corvette C6 in 2005-2007, alongside teammate Oliver Gavin. Notably, he achieved five class victories at the prestigious 24 Hours of Le Mans.
