Early Life and Career
In the Soviet era, Kubanychbek Turdubaev worked as a fitter-assembler at the Naryn Hydroelectric Power Station, an electrician at the Toktogul Hydroelectric Power Station, and a diver at the Kara-Kul Rescue Station.
Business Career
From 1991 to 1995, Turdubaev was a manager at the firm "Scorpion" in Kara-Kul. From 1995 to 2001, he served as the General Director of the Kyrgyz-Belarusian firm "Neman."
Political Career
Turdubaev became a member of the Jogorku Kenesh (Parliament) of Kyrgyzstan in 2001. From 2001 to 2004, he was the General Director of the enterprise "Neman-Holding."
Government Service
On April 13, 2010, Turdubaev was appointed Acting Minister of Energy for the interim government after the overthrow of President Kurmanbek Bakiyev. On January 19, 2011, he was made Chairman of the Board of OJSC "Kyrgyzaltyn." On January 19, 2012, he became Director of the State Inspection for Ecological and Technical Safety under the Government of the Kyrgyz Republic.
