Early Life and Career as a Single Skater

Panagiotis Polizoakis was born in June 1995 in Baden-Württemberg, Germany. He initially pursued figure skating as a single skater, winning a bronze medal at the German Junior Championships in 2012. The following year, he competed in the Junior Grand Prix series and became the German Junior Champion for the first time.

Transition to Ice Dancing

In December 2014, Polizoakis made his national championship debut at the German Championships in Stuttgart, where he placed in the middle of the standings. In the spring of 2015, Polizoakis decided to switch to ice dancing. At this time, German ice dancer Kavita Lorenz was looking for a partner, and they teamed up together.

Debut Season with Kavita Lorenz

The pair debuted at the Nebelhorn Trophy in September 2015, where they finished fourth. They then placed fifth at the Nepela Memorial and qualified for the European and World Championships. In November, they finished near the middle of the standings at the Warsaw Cup. At the German Championships in December 2015, they won the gold medal in a close competition after placing second in the short program.

International Debut and Continued Success

The German dancers made their continental debut at the European Championships in Slovakia in January 2016, finishing in the mid-twenties. They made their world championship debut in Boston in March, where they qualified for the final. After that season, the pair decided to part ways. However, the German federation and their coaches convinced them to continue skating together.

In their second season together, the pair started with a fifth-place finish at the Nebelhorn Trophy. They then improved their personal bests and finished fifth at the Nepela Memorial. They placed second at events in Riga and Dortmund. At the Golden Spin of Zagreb, they finished fourth and set new personal bests in the free dance and overall total. At the German Championships in December, they successfully defended their national title.

Olympic Qualification and Grand Prix Debut

At the European Championships in 2017, they repeated their previous year's finish of 14th. They placed third at the Bavarian Open in February. At the World Championships in March, they missed out on qualifying for the Olympics but advanced to the free dance.

In the following season, they secured an Olympic berth for their country at the Nebelhorn Trophy. They made their Grand Prix debut at the Canadian Grand Prix, where they finished near the bottom of the standings.
